Those In Our Path
I was watching a film today in which a character asks the man who saved her from death why he had helped her.
His response was simple and yet profound.
"You were in my path."
No determining if she was worthy of his help.
No demanding something in return.
No looking around to pass off the responsibility.
Just giving help to someone he encountered.
Elder Jeffrey R Holland pled, "May we give the God and father of us all a helping hand with his staggering task of answering prayers, providing comfort, drying tears, and strengthening feeble knees. If we will do that, we will be more like the
true disciples of Christ we are meant to be."
So why should we help? Because they are in our path.
