Hidden bleasings

Yesterday our neighbor was helping George with some tree work along our property line.

We had some invasive plants  that needed cut out, a dying redbud and some overgrowth.

I was sad to see the redbud needed cut down but reminded that new shoots will be coming up from it and we can actually choose which we want to nurture and support.

And in the midst of the removable and trimming we found a wild black raspberry had taken root and was loaded with berries.

And I was reminded that often times if we look amidst the adversities and losses, we will also find the beauty and the hidden blessings.

President Bonnie D Parkin emphasized, "The kind of gratitude that receives even tribulations with thanksgiving requires a broken heart and a contrite spirit, humility to accept that which we cannot change, willingness to turn everything over to the Lord—even when we do not understand, thankfulness for hidden opportunities yet to be revealed. Then comes a sense of peace."

"Hidden opportunities yet to be revealed".

What a wonderfully sweet promise!
