Figureoutable



 Yesterday we had a beautiful family church service where my cousin shared her recent experiences with health issues including finding a brain tumor. 


As she spoke with vulnerability, she said that she had come to find that even the most difficult things are “”figureoutable” with Jesus.


It might be my new favorite word.


Jesus has promised to succor us.


To make our load lighter.




To forgive us and help us get back on track.  


Nothing is too hard for him.


No one is too “gone” for him.


He knows 

2 Ne 2:24 reassures us, “But behold, all things have been done in the wisdom of him who knoweth all things.”


So when things are tricky and it seems impossible just remember, with Jesus all things are figureoutable.

 This week in Come Follow Me I was reading and pondering on this paragraph: What does it mean to say that Jesus Christ is “he who liveth”? Jesus Hugs

 I walked into school with concerns for a close friend's granddaughter fresh in my mind.   I quickly dropped my stuff off in my room and headed to my usual post at what is called the "Hallway of Doom".  It's a long hallway all but screaming COME AND RUN!  Skip on my squares.  Hide in all the alcoves and jump out at your friends.  First wash your hands in the bathroom and then try to touch every single coat hook on your way down the hall to the cafeteria.  After the other 400 students do the same thing.   If you can knock down  coats it earns bonus points.   And it's my job to monitor where that hall intersects with the main one. It's a job I love.  Because I get to do daily checkins with so many students and help ensure that they start the day right.  And I'm pretty much just a 47 year old kid.  Who may or may not sometimes skip on the tiles.😊 Only today my little first grade friend came up to me and said, "I heard you li...

  Friday at school, I had a student come into my room with excitement in his voice. He is a student who has some reading struggles I have been helping him with.  His low confidence has led to disengagement in the classroom for years.  We are trying to change that. He burst through the door and exclaimed, “Mrs. Potter!  Did you know that when the teachers are talking they actually give the answers to the next test!??” I bit my lip to keep back a smile at his discovery of what we assume is obvious to all. “You are right!  How have you been studying in the past?” “I just google everything, but it makes it really hard.” So true.   My young friend had figured out a piece of the bigger picture of education.   We aren’t hiding the answers.   We are trying to help them become part of their knowledge set and thinking process.
